Utah’s first Computer Science based charter high school is set to open this coming August. Just four years on from its conception the first phase of the school is set to open at 5400 South Jordan Parkway in the Daybreak Community (I have heard that it will initially have a temporary location in Riverton until such time that the school has been completed).
The Wasatch Institute of Technology offers computer science and networking at the core of its curriculum, integrating technology into all of its subjects in such a way to make it fun for the students and to prepare them for the jobs of the future. The school will initially cater for 320 students in the first year, rising to 900 students in later years.
The Wasatch Institute of Technology will be Daybreak’s second charter school and will offer a unique and I believe much needed approach for educating our children.
